Volunteer Opportunity

Library Volunteers are needed to assist with shelving library books and helping the JJMS Librarian, Jennifer Useted, and Librarian Assistant, Susan O’Malley, with special projects.   Volunteers can volunteer weekly or every two to three weeks any time during the school day for one to two hours.  This is a great opportunity to be involved in seeing what the kids are reading and meeting some of the faculty and staff that bring the kids through the library. If you are available and would like to help, please contact Kathy Martin at with your preferred day and frequency.

This year the PTO is introducing a new “Buddy Family” program for families who are entering JJMS and are new to the KLSD.  Last year, we had about 50 such families!  If you are a current 7th or 8th grade parent, we hope that you would volunteer to become a Buddy Family.  The buddies can be the very first people to welcome new families to the school, and becoming a buddy is a great way to help integrate these families into our community.

If you are a New Family to our school district, please contact us at to be matched with a Buddy Family!

Looking forward to a wonderful year!
